Hi Bronwyn, because of punctuation this letter totally changes. The first one Gloria wants to be forever with John. In the second letter she would never want a relationship with him again. Punctuation let the starting words change, therefor the sentences sound different because of the meaning.

Punctuation creates clarity, and removes all doubt about what is written.
For example: “In the first parragraph, the letter is more like a confession of love; where as the second one is more like an insult towards the reader.
Hi Bronwyn
The punctuation makes the letter more sense.
In the first part of the letter she liked him, but in the second she sounded mad and she actually sounded like she didn’t like him at all.
In the first paragraph Gloria is yearning for John to give her a second chance to be together again. And in the second paragraph she doesn’t want anything to do with him anymore. This piece is well written, you can clearly see why punctuation matters.
The first paragraph says that she loves John, that he’s the guy for her, that he’s kind and thoughtful. The second paragraph says that she wants someone that knows what love is and that he ruined her and that she’s the attracted to other men. It also says that he is not kind, thoughtful and that he should leave her alone so she could be happy.
Golden rule: Never write that a piece of writing ”says” – writing does NOT say – it does not SAY, it implies, it indicates, it transmits, it creates, etc. But is NEVER says. Only CHARACTERS in a text can ‘say’
Punctuation helps you understand and know what the story is all about,For example:the first paragraph describes how gloria wants to be given a second chance by john. And the second paragraph now she doesn’t want to be with john anymore.SO punctuation really matters and makes the story have sense and understanding
Punctuation is extremely important and if misused, it can completely change the meaning of a piece of writing.Although the same words are used in both letters, in the first, the author of the letter is telling how much she loves him. While, in the second letter, she tells him how she hates him and never wants anything to do with him ever again.
In the first letter Gloria declared her love for John (the love of her life). She express her affectionate feelings and thoughts for him. The second letter is also from Gloria to John. In this letter she profess her dislike for him. She long for other men and she do not have feelings for him at all. Gloria will be delighted to be free from him and left alone.
Punctuation matters because the meaning of these two letter are completely different, from love in one and hate in the other.
In the first Paragraph she is telling him that she loves him and wants him to come to her. In the second paragraph she is telling him to go away and let her be. Punctuation is very important if we do not put the right punctuation the reader might get the wrong message.
Your answer is correct. I would like to correct your grammar (and punctuation) though: … Punctuation is very important: (use a colon – as you are going to further qualify the importance of punctuation) if we do not use the correct punctuation, the reader may understand the message incorrectly.
